Family law firms close after result of Legal Services Commission tender
A major shortfall in firms offering legal aid is expected as the family law supplier base has been halved by the outcome of the Legal Services Commission Tender. This has included many Birmingham Law Firms being unable to offer legal aid. Brendan Fleming explained, “We are concerned that families may struggle to find representation and that this will damage the training of promising young solicitors, who would be an asset to family law. However, we appreciate that LSC has to make cutbacks and we will continue to work with them during these challenging economic conditions.”
The LSC has stated that the number of firms offering family services with public funding has fallen from 2,400 to 1,300. Many lawyer groups are concerned that there will be difficulty with all parties been represented in complex care cases.
At Brendan Fleming’s one of the top Family Law firms in Birmingham we can reassure our Clients that we will continue represent them and offer the highest quality of service. This reflected in our feedback on our new testimonials pages, where clients feedback on the quality of all our departments, with family law receiving excellent reviews.
Moreover, the number of talented and dedicated team members continues to grow at Brendan Fleming’s with Faye Masling joining our brilliant team. At our law firm we recognise that it is our team that makes the firm successful. We look forward to continuing to represent our Clients, who as ever, remain the most important people in this practice.
