In this case, we represented a mother. The child had sustained subdural and retinal haemorrhages alongside fractures to the ankles. A number of medical experts were instructed in this matter and the case progressed to a finding of fact hearing. The court found that the father was responsible for all of the injuries sustained by the child. There were other concerns, in this case, save for the injuries but a plan of work was put into place and the child (along with sibling) was returned to the care of the mother under a Care Order.
